Obituaries

Joseph Francis Pesek, 95, left this world on Monday, January 20th at the LaSalle Veterans Home, in a peaceful passing, reuniting him with his loving wife of seventy-three years; Irene Pesek.  He was greatly loved by his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

The son of James and Marie (Opava) Pesek, Joseph was born on September

18th, 1929, at The Lutheran Deaconess Hospital of Chicago.  On November 29th, 1952, he married Irene Dieter at St. Michael’s Church in Wheaton. Joseph Pesek was a devoted Catholic, husband, and father. He served in the United States Army achieving a 2nd Lieutenant rank in the infantry. He resided in the La Salle Veterans Home receiving wonderful care there since 2018.  Joseph was a lover of camping, fishing, watching sports on TV, reading his paper and traveling to Hawaii!

Survived by his children: Diane Streamer, John Pesek, Patricia Behnke, Darlene Barrowclift, Jenny Risberg, Jim Pesek, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday May 3rd, 2025 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Saint Charles, IL from 9:30-10:30 A.M. Mass will follow at 10:30 A.M with graveside services and luncheon to follow the Mass.
