Our beloved Joseph Ryan, 90, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 11, 2022.  He was born on January 30, 1931 in Minot, North Dakota and was one of 13 children born to Michael and Stella Ryan.He married Mary Sue DeLeo in 1953 and they had a long, loving marriage for almost 69 years. Although we deeply mourn this great loss…we take comfort in knowing he is now at home with our Lord. Through our pain we still find joy in having been blessed to be a part of this beautiful man’s life for over 90 years.

As a veteran, Joe proudly served his country and earned the rank of Tech Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a great story teller and possessed a sharp wit and loved to spend time at his lake home fishing and being with family.

Many called him a friend and even more considered him family. We are all better for having known and loved him. His wisdom, strength, humor and love will continue to stay with us always. He was a man of great integrity, loyalty and fierce love of family. His stories will live on through his wife, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Mary Sue, children; Mary, Joseph and Trish. Grandsons; James (Tiffany) Ryan, Jonathan (Katie) Weiser, Jared (Krystina) Weiser, Jordan (Raven) Ryan, great-grandchildren; Connor, Hailey, Zachary, Brayden, Joseph, Lexi and Makenna, brother Patrick, and many dear nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, his beloved grandson Joseph and daughter-in-law Janice.

There will be a celebration of life in his honor…to be announced at a later date.
