Judith Marie Zachman, 75, of Des Plaines, Illinois passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2021 at JourneyCare CareCenter in Barrington, Illinois. She was born October 3, 1945 in Chicago to Frank and Florence (Mazurowski) Gezing. Judie was very much a family person. Though it was small, she loved being with her family. Being an aunt/great aunt to her nieces and nephews made her proud. She enjoyed attending dance recitals, baseball games, graduations and any other event for her family. She was fun, silly, generous and so loving with a big heart. She was delighted to share traditions, especially those that rooted in her ethnicity. So much of that made our holiday celebrations more special. How she loved her little dog Cinnamon with all her heart! Spoiled her without question. She found joy in cooking and baking. Her collection of recipes and cookbooks is endless. Judie’s cookies were the best! Something she never got tired of making and sharing with her family. She loved to cook Polish foods too. Judie belonged to a card club made up of friends from her childhood. She so loved being a part of this group of ladies and cherished the times they all spent together. She enjoyed traveling whether with her sister and brother-in-law or with friends. She especially looked forward to the “Open Air” trips she took, with her sister by her side, when she got her convertible. Judie will be missed tremendously by all those who knew and loved her. Survivors include her nieces Lynette (Michael) Davis, Kristyn (Pete) Hallin; beloved great aunt to Jordan, Kiara, Garrett, Jeremy, Joshua and Olivia; and her dog, Cinnamon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother-in-law, Leonard (2016); her sister, Barbara (2019); and niece, Renee (2020). Her visitation will be on Tuesday, May 11, from 4:00-8:00 PM at the Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL. The funeral will be at 6:00 PM. |
