Judy Van Hanxleden, 74, born January 3, 1944, passed away peacefully January 15 surrounded by her loved ones. Judy was a long time resident of St. Charles and Elgin. Judy is survived by her sisters Kay (Van Hanxleden) Olson (Tom), Dorothy (Van Hanxleden) Thompson, brother Jack Van (Carol) as well as her loving nieces and nephews.
Judy will be remembered for her sharp wit, intelligence and giving spirit. She was an avid golfer with a hole in one to her credit. She was a classical music lover, dog lover, and reader. She cherished her trips with her friends and traveling to see family members.
A memorial visitation will be held at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles on Saturday, January 27 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:30 A.M. with a funeral mass following at 12:00 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 400 Cedar Avenue, St. Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the 12 Oaks Foundation or to Anderson Animal Shelter.
