Obituaries

Juliann Burke, 80, passed away April 12 in Davidson County, NC.  She was born in St. Charles, IL February 11, 1941 to Joseph and Josie d’Olieslagers.  She married her husband, Jack Burke, January 18, 1963, and they raised their two daughters in St. Charles before she retired in Charlotte, NC in 2003.  Juliann enjoyed creating flower arrangements, cross stitching, cooking for her family, giving and wrapping presents with beautiful bows, drawing, attending Catholic mass, and taking care of her pets.

She is survived by her daughters Annie Scott (Charles Moretz) of Lexington, NC and Jacqueline (Sal) Rodriguez of Jackson, WY; her granddaughter Kelli Ann Burke (Brandon English) of Matthews, NC and grandson Robbie Burke Scott (Kimberly Witte) of Cary, NC; her sister Joann (Gary) Hollerauer of St. Charles, IL; numerous nephews and nieces; and her great grandson Anthony English, who calls her GiGi!  She was preceded in death by her husband Jack and her parents.

A private burial will be held at the Union Cemetery in St. Charles on April 19.
