Obituaries

Kathleen Margaret Alcock, 82, of Fort Meyers, Florida, formerly of Wayne, Illinois passed away peacefully on May 3, 2020. Kathy was born April 14, 1938 in Seattle, Washington to Richard and Katherine Gavranich. Kathy was raised and attended high school in Chico, California. On May 16, 1959, she was happily married to Myron “Mike” Powell Alcock. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Kathy enjoyed exercising, gardening, sewing, knitting, travel, and loved shopping, fashion and all her pets.

Kathy is survived by her children, Kevin (Celeste) Alcock, Kim (Dan) Macek , Karen (Tim) Schiewe and Diane (Marc) Jones. Kathy “Mimi” was adored by and dearly loved her 13 grandchildren. Kathy is also survived by her sisters; Donna (Richard) Sloan, Joyce (Jim) Meade and sister-in-law Carolyn Gavranich.

Kathy was preceded in death by her loving husband Mike, brother Richard, and sister Delores.

Funeral Mass & burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, and the Anderson Animal Shelter.
