Kathy Rose Davis, 60, of Elgin, IL, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family March 20, 2021.

The daughter of Edward Joseph Smith and Elsie (Sinclair) Smith was born on July 30th, 1960 in Chicago, IL. Kathy later met her true love Terry Davis and on June 6th, 1981 the couple said “I Do” at a church in Palatine, IL. The couple had three children and would spend their lives making beautiful memories together as a family.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband Terry Davis, their three children Tanya (Erik) Casey, Ryan (Amanda) Davis, and Tim (Sally) Davis, her brothers Edward (Barb) Smith, Jim (Rachelle) Smith, her sister Margie (Bruce) Self, her sister-in-law Denise (Sandy) Stelzer, and her three grandchildren Michael, Madison, and Matthew Casey, and her many nieces and nephews.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Elsie Smith, her in-laws Bill and Lola Davis, and her god-daughter Alexandra Self who she greatly adored.

Kathy was a dedicated mother and wife for her whole life, she was very family oriented. She stayed home and raised the couples three children, and later also watched after her three grandchildren. She took pride in being a mother and a grandmother. Kathy was the glue to the family, and she was there for anything the children had going on. Kathy adored her children and treated their friends just like her own. She was always warm and welcoming to any.

Kathy loved to bowl and golf in her free time. You could often find her bowling with her dear friends and team “The Bloody Mary’s” sharing many smiles and laughs, and maybe a few bloody Mary’s with her bowling girls. If not bowling, Kathy really enjoyed traveling and experiencing the world, preferably on the beach somewhere with her family, and probably listening to some “Celine Dion”.

The Davis family would like to specially thank the Delnor Cancer Center, for their hard work and for treating Kathy like part of their very own family. The center even threw her a birthday party, cake, and all. It was like walking into home for Kathy being there, and the family is forever grateful to the Delnor Cancer Center and Staff.

A visitation will be held for Kathy Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, IL from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Following the visitation will be a funeral service also at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles starting at 7:00 P.M.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made on Kathy’s behalf to the Avon Breast Cancer Crusade https://www.avon.com/breast-cancer-crusade.
