Obituaries

Kimberly “Kim” Matusiak age 51, of Plato Center, passed away May 1, 2018. She was born to Raymond and Shirley “Jeanie” Carter in Memphis, TN. She married her husband Rob on July 18, 1992, and they made their home in TX for five years before they came to live in Plato Center.  Kimberly loved to cook, bake, garden and most of all, be a Mom.

She is survived by her husband Robert “Rob”, daughter Annie Elizabeth, mother Shirley “Jeanie” Carter, three sisters; Joy Helms, Jacquelyn Paige (Lynn) White, and Billie Marie (David) Jernigan).

She was preceded in death by her father, and brother Corbett.

Visitation will be 2-6:00 P.M. Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, IL 60175. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Monday, May 7, 2018 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 215 Thomas More Dr., Elgin, IL 60123. Burial will be at Prairie Cemetery, St. Charles Township. Contributions may be made in Kim’s memory to Catholic Charities of the Rockford Dioceses.
