Leonard “Len” R. Ficht age 74 of St. Charles passed away unexpectedly October 8, 2018. He was born to Leonard and Hildegard Ficht in Chicago, Illinois. He was a 32 year veteran of the Chicago Police Department. Len coached football and basketball and was a Lifetime Cardinals Fan. “PaPa” as his grandchildren called him was the biggest supporter/fan of his grandkids and their sports, and never missed a game.

He is survived by his loving wife Catherine, proud father of his sons Leonard (Mary Beth) Ficht, Eric (Lori) Ficht, daughters Rachel (Jason) Warden, Joanna Ficht, six grandchildren, Koleman Ficht, Brendan Ficht, Gracie Ficht, Will Ficht, Allison Warden and Brody Warden, and his sister Janice (Michael) Hourihane.

Visitation will be 4-8:00 P.M. Thursday, October 11th at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main St. St. Charles, IL 60174. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 12th at St. Patrick Catholic Church 400 Cedar St. St. Charles, IL 60174. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Chicago Police Memorial Foundation.
