Lewis Victor Ecker passed away on November 18, 2022.  He was born in Elgin, Illinois on August 4, 1957, to his parents Sylvester Eugene Ecker and Helen Mary (Masi) McCulloch.  Victor is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca (Banes) Ecker; his three children Angela Ecker, Monica (Chris) Adamczyk, and Robert Ecker; six grandchildren; sisters Diane (Steven) Arnold, Jeananne Masi, Pat (Charlie) Shales; seven nieces and nephews; seven great nieces and great nephews; and many friends.  Victor was the namesake of his grandfather, Lewis Ecker and his uncle, Victor Masi.

Victor spent his entire life in St. Charles and attended St. Charles High School graduating in 1975.  He also attended Mid Valley Area Vocational Center earning a certificate in auto mechanics and Elgin Community College earning a certification in welding. Victor was a plumber by trade.  He was employed by Fermi Lab in Batavia for 20 years.  His hobbies were working on cars, spending time with his family, cooking and vacationing in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  For those who knew Victor well, he was in the process of restoring his beloved 1968 Chevrolet Camaro.

Victor’s wishes were to have no viewing or visitation.  A memorial for his family and friends will be held in the Spring or Summer 2023.
