Lois C. Walker, 87, of St. Charles, IL, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025 at Blackberry Pines Assisted Living Home in Elburn, IL. She was born January 4, 1938, in Elmhurst, IL to the late Charles and Alice (Stevens) Graff.
Lois was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dennis Walker, on October 25, 1951, in Hernando, MS.
Dennis preceded her in death in 2010.
Lois worked for many years at the St. Charles Chronicle (later called Warwick Publishing Company). After retiring, she and Dennis loved to travel, visiting Hawaii, Mexico, British Columbia, the Dominican Republic and every state in the US except Alaska.
Lois loved to talk and never met a stranger. She loved line dancing, music, quilting (making quilts for every family member), cooking, and especially spending time with her family. She was a devoted and loving caregiver to her husband. Lois was spunky, strong willed, supportive, caring, loving and so fun and full of life. She loved to support and cheer on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in anything they were involved in.
Lois was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles, IL and a member of the St. Charles, IL Moose Club.
Lois is survived by her son, Dennis (Celeste), daughter-in-law, Debra (the late Rick) Walker, daughter, Lynn (Mike) Olson, and daughter, Tonya (George) Forni. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren, Nick (Callie) Walker, Andy (Marne) Walker, Jill (Mike Steinmetz) Walker, and their mother Pamela Walker, Shane Walker, Ashley (lan) Stevenson, Marissa Franck, Tenaya (Bryce) Adams, Amy (Kyle) Takahashi, Brett (Traci) Olson, Jacob (Caitlin) Forni, and Joshua (Taylor) Forni and twenty one great grandchildren, Camryn and Phoebe Walker, Samuel Walker, Hannah Steinmetz, Isla, Stella and Willa Stevenson, Myles and Greyson Franck, Layla Harmon, Sydney Adams, Carah, Gavin and Mason Takahashi, Hudson Olson, Trenton, Mitchell and Maverick Forni, and Eloise, Harriet and Everett Forni and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband Dennis Walker, son Rick Walker, parents Charles and Alice Graff, brothers Walter and Donald Graff, sisters Charlene Graff, Mary Alice Fries, Barbara Ramey and Kathleen Gaupp, one nephew, Scott Fries, and Dennis’ parents, Mamie and Raymond Walker.
A private family funeral will be held at this time with interment at Union Cemetery, St. Charles, IL. A celebration of life will be held later, date TBD.
Rest In Peace sweet lady. You will be missed and forever loved by all who knew you.
