Marcena “Marcy” LoDolce, 67, passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2022.
Marcy was born to Joseph and Marcena Schauer on May 22, 1955, in Chicago. She married the love of her life, Gary LoDolce, on September 1, 1978.
She fulfilled her lifelong dream of becoming a registered nurse in 1999 while raising her three children in St. Charles. For 19 years, she worked tirelessly as the Administrator of Heritage Woods of Batavia, where she loved the residents entrusted to her care and treated them as she would her own family.
Marcy loved spending time with her family, traveling with Gary, caring for her greyhound Tammy, and drinking coffee from morning till night.
She is survived by her devoted husband; beloved children Kristin (Kevin Johnson) LoDolce, Kimberly (David Manno) LoDolce, and Andrew (Kaitlyn) LoDolce; cherished grandchildren Leo and Simon Liang and Ruby Marcena LoDolce; loving sister Patricia Vavra; and her many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jomyla Schmeltzer.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am, Thursday, November 17th at St. John Neumann Church, 2900 E. Main St. in St. Charles with Father David Peck officiating. Family and friends are also invited to pay their respects from 9:30-11 am at St. John Neumann.

"She Was a Woman of Gentle Love a poem by O.A. MannoShe was a woman of gentle love Which she received from living with love! Calm and strong in her daily chores She was respected by many and more! Resolving hard problems she did with care While they who asked were shocked with a stare. She smiled with love to all who came She kept the aged from living in shame. Always did she give confidence to all Regardless of their worries or call. She was a woman to be loved living in unity With those who needed help to live in community. Never has there been a woman observed in this life Who worked with loving care for those living in strife. Her name we know, we know it with glee, There was only one like her whose name was Marcy!"
