Obituary
Margaret H. Benson age 93, of St. Charles, died Saturday March 12, 2022, at her home.
She was born May 31, 1928, in Geneva, Il.
Margaret graduated from Mount St. Mary’s Catholic High School, St. Charles in 1947. In 1954, she married Harry Benson in St. Patrick’s Church St. Charles. She was a member and past Secretary and President of St. Patrick’s Women’s Club. She was also a member of the Patna Mission Group.
She is survived by two children, Anthony (Marilyn) and William (Leonor) both of St. Charles. Three grandchildren, Michelle Sabel, of St. Charles, Sarah (Joseph) Bullard of Iuka, Illinois, and Tiffany (Kyle) Grupas of Denver, Colorado. Two great -grandchildren.
Steven (Megan) and Stephanie Mowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry in 1989, parents Mary Ellen and James T. Howard, three sisters, Elizabeth Howard, Catherine Howard and Helen Scott and four brothers, William, James, John, and Thomas Howard. Also, great- grandchild, Nathaniel Sabel.
Visitation will be held 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church. Burial will be at Union Cemetery.
