Marie Annette Schero (nee Semerau), 83, of St Charles IL, passed away peacefully on June 16th 2023. Marie was born on March 25th 1940, to the late Sam (Emmanuel) and  Loraine (Gillen) Semerau in Chicago, Il.

Everyone who knew Marie felt her kindness and love.  She loved her family, her faith, and her books.  Some of her favorite moments were when the family was all together, especially at family reunions.  While she never participated in the whiffle ball competition, she was always in the cheering section.

She loved painting ceramics, shopping, going out to lunch, and visiting the library.  She was a huge fan of tv game shows, especially Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune.

In addition to her parents, Marie was predeceased by her sister Barbara, brother Tom, and niece Diane.  Her Loving family are daughter Judy (Tim) and sons David (Serena), Dan (Anna), brother John (Carol) sisters Kathy (Bill), Gerry (Jim), and sister-in-law Lucy (Tom).  She was so very proud of all of her grandchildren, Sean, Brendan, Colleen McShane and Audrey, Christopher, Michael and Dominic Schero. She was blessed with many nieces and nephews.

We will all miss her dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held for Marie on Saturday, July 8, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2900 E. Main Street, St. Charles, from 9:30 until 10:30 A.M. with mass to immediately follow.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Condolences
