Died March 3, 2018; in St. Charles, IL.

Marilyn Linendoll Duhaime of St. Charles, Illinois, formerly of Westerly, RI. and Bristol, Connecticut died on March 3, 2018 peacefully surrounded by family.

She was born on March 8, 1923 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Frances (Funk) and WR Crumb. Marilyn grew up in Forestville, Connecticut and graduated from Bristol High School in 1941. She also graduated from LaSalle Junior College in Newton, Massachusetts with an Associate’s Degree. Marilyn married her High School sweetheart Francis Paul Linendoll in 1943 and raised their 4 daughters in Bristol, Connecticut.

She is survived by her 4 Daughters; Jennifer Steffanci of Southington, Ct., Marilyn (Tom) Blake of Westminster, Colorado, Janet (Bobby) Faulkner of Barrington, IL., and Carol (Bob) Nosal of St Charles, IL., 12 Grandchildren; Tom (Roma) Steffanci of New York City, New York, Eric Steffanci of Mission Viejo, California, Chris Steffanci of Seattle, Washington, Sarah (Anthony) Bakx of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Erin Lowrey of Arvada, Colorado, Ryan Blake of Denver, Colorado, Katie McNeeley (Mark) of Portland, Oregon, Emily (Jeff) Knapstein of Lake Zurich, Illinois, Maggie (Jimmy) Nicholson of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Paula (Matt) Strozak of LaGrange, Illinois, Lauren Nosal of Raleigh, North Carolina and Catherine Nosal of Boston, Massachusetts. 14 Great Grandchildren; Ashton, Austin, Jordan, William, Jake, Gavin, Bailey, Caleb, Riley, Samantha, Malcolm, Ben, Audrey, and Amelia. She was predeceased by her first husband Francis Paul Linendoll, married 1943 to 1978 and her second husband Ernest Duhaime, married 1980 to 2012.

Marilyn worked for many years as a Bristol Elementary Schools Librarian and did volunteer work at Bristol Hospital. Marilyn was always active and loved golf, playing till after she was 80. She also loved spending time at the family property in Quonochontaug, Rhode Island and as an amateur artist she painted many beautiful pictures of her love of the Ocean. She passed on her special love and respect of the ocean to all her descendants.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday April 7, 2018 at St Patrick’s Catholic Church on 400 Cedar St., St. Charles, Illinois, at 10:30am. An interment service will be held at a later date in Bristol, Ct.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations can be made to: Autumn Leaves of St Charles, Il on 10 North Peck Rd. where she spent her final year. A special thanks goes out to the wonderful caregivers at Autumn Leaves, in St Charles for making our final year with her so special.
