"I had the good fortune to work with Mary Ann at St Charles High School. Such an interesting and caring person. After retirement our paths crossed at many library programs and her devotion to the library foundation. Unfortunately I will be out of town and will miss the services. May she rest in peace."
Fran Johnson from St. Charles, IL
"So thankful I knew Mary Ann and family. She did so much for St. Charles in her work on committees with the school district and the library. Always enjoyed walking and talking with her. Rest in peace dear friend."
Bob Abraham from St. Charles, IL
"The loss of Mary Ann is so sad for me. Outstanding teacher and administrator. Even a better person. We would get together for lunch each summer after we all retired. I had been texting her up until a couple weeks of her passing. Prayers go out to her family and friends. She is certainly missed."
Vicki Schlinder from St. Charles, IL
"It was an honor and a privilege to work with Mary Ann at St. Charles East High School. We went through many changes at the school (who can forget the mold years) and Mary Ann was a compassionate and capable leader through it all. RIP MAT.❤️🙏🏻"
Court Burkhart from Elgin, IL
"Mary Ann Tilton was my department chair, colleague, assistant principal, mentor, and friend for many years at St. Charles High School (later East). I appreciated her expertise, kindness, humor, tenacity, and wisdom. She supported my English classroom teaching and my speech team coaching and she was a respected role model, effectively leading in innumerable ways. I have always appreciated her “refusal” to let me leave and go to another high school early in my career. She was of course and as always correct in her assessment of the situation. I’ve thought of her often and will continue to do so. Prayers for her and for the family."

"Mary Ann was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was a good friend to all of us at St. Charles Singers, whether volunteering on the house management team, helping to review scholarship applications from area high school students, or taking her seat in the audience. SCS is only one of many arts organizations to which Mary Ann lent her support. She will be dearly missed."
