"To the Welter Family:I am sorry i will not be able to attend the church services for Mary. At my age, I do not travel well. But I did want you to know that Mary was not only my cousin....she was my friend...especially in our later years. I thought of sending flowers, but I think Mary would prefer a charitable donation. I have donated $100 in Mary's name to each of two charities. I think Mary would approve. The charities are St. Jude Children's hospital and Samaritan's Purse. I grieve with all of you, but I know Mary is with our Lord Jesus and is the happiest she has ever been. May God bless you all and comfort all of us in our grief. Cousin Pat Davis."
Mary and John Conley from Elmhurst, IL
"Mary was the beloved matriarch of Chandler Ave. To be in her world was to be included in the quiet joys of everyday living and in extended friendships. Memories abound from years back and are now a wonderful gift of time and place. Rest in peace, dear Mary… a life well led!!"
