Michael J. Barron Michael J. Barron
  • Memorial Service
  • To be held in Summer 2023
Michael J. Barron passed on January 31, 2023 surrounded by those who loved him.
Mike was a good man – resilient, loyal to his family and friends and deeply devoted to his wife and son.  Born in Evanston on New Year’s Eve, he spent his childhood in Kalamazoo, Michigan, graduating from Western Michigan University.  Mike enjoyed a long career in legal services.  He was known as a hard worker, reliable and dedicated to providing for his family.  A diabetic since the age of four, he dealt with the condition through his life with resolve and little complaint.  Mike had a deep abiding love for the Chicago Cubs, music – attending many concerts – and cars, which he shared and passed to his son, Nicholas.
He is survived by his wife, Bernie, and their son, Nicholas.  He will be the forever little brother of Terrence (Julia), Daniel (Catherine) and Mary (Mark) and treasured uncle to Lindsey Scholl, Jason Scholl and Taidgh Barron.  Mike is preceded in death by his father, Charles, and his mother, Elaine.
A memorial will be held for Michael in the summer.  Donations in his name may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.
