Nadine Ruth Brown, surrounded by family, passed away peacefully on December 7 at the age of 92.
Born in Alabama on June 15, 1931, she spent her early childhood years in Arkansas and then moved to the St. Charles area with her husband, Charles Leonard Brown, and their young family in 1952. She treasured her family and any friends. She loved playing dominos and always enjoyed getting together with friends for a quick game. She always wanted her house, yard and garden to be in pristine condition and prior to recent years neighbors always found her doing something in her yard almost daily during the summer months. Every evening you could find her with lifelong friend, Maxine Milton, enjoying a visit in the swings on her back porch.
She leaves behind her children Doris Gallant, Danny Brown (Gail), Judy Knaak (Jerry), Rickie Brown (Annette Clary); grandchildren Brian Renwick, Frances Knautz, Jordan Brown (Hilary), Bethany Brandonisio (Vito), Ben Knaak (Jamie Barnes), Chris Knaak (Jennifer), Dan Knaak (Jennifer), and Andy Knaak; great-grandchildren Brianna Renwick (Austin Petick), Drew Knautz (Heather Toarsky), Alyssa Knautz, Tyler Knaak, Hunter Knaak, Vito Brandonisio, Faith Brandonisio, Charles Brown, Emmett Knaak, Charles Knaak, Evertt Knaak; great-great children Logan Knautz, Marlowe Petick, Wilder Knaak and many, many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Charles Leonard “Charlie” Brown; son in law George Gallant, parents and siblings and many nieces, nephews and close friends.
A Visitation will be 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street. A Funeral Service will follow the visitation at Yurs Funeral Home. Burial will be at Union Cemetery in St Charles. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice. Special thanks to the staff of Bright Gardens Senior Living for providing her with an excellent home environment and care for the past two years, as well as Lighthouse Hospice for the care received during her final days.
