"I will miss you Uncle Nick! Always remember Grandma getting mad cause I, as a little kid, at the big table in dining room, soo laughed at your humor! Grandma did not! Grandma got mad at me for laughing. We both had the dimples. So many memories, you will be missed by all you have touched!!! Love, Charlene and Chris"

"I will miss you as will my kids. I have so many great memories but the one thing they have in common is the endless times you had me laughing till i cried. One of the top moments was you fixing my wiper pump and draining a whole gallon of wiper juice on your shoes, pants and driveway. You had us all in tears laughing. Aunt Edie saying well she said it was just filled so what did you think was gonna happen. You will be miss greatly. Forever may you chase birds off the lawn. Love you!"

"Sincere condolences to the Frerichs family from the CPKC Casualty Management team. Nick was one of the first people I met at CP in 2019 and always was a person I looked forward to seeing in Bensenville -- and, occasionally, other CP locations. He always knew the "scoop," anticipated what needed to be done next and did it, and went out of his way to help. He was a truly good guy, and will be sorely missed."
