Patricia A Rottmann, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Feb 22, 2025, She was greatly loved by her husband, children, grandchildren and their families.

Pat was born on St Patrick’s day, March 17, 1930 in New Jersey. On February 5, 1950, she married Alwin M. Rottmann in Newark, New Jersey. They left the East Coast and settled in the Chicagoland area.

They raised their four children in Lombard, IL and were active in their community. Later they moved to the Fox River Valley, where they became active members of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St Charles, IL.

Pat was a warm and loving woman who loved being a stay at home mom, and a loving and supportive wife to Al in his business endeavors. She volunteered in the communities she lived in, and especially loved Garfield Farms. Her passion was for her family, and she kept involved in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities.

She loved gardens, animals, and children. She was generous toward her loved ones with her time and her love. She was encouraging and supportive of all her family and friends. She was also strong willed and was not easily swayed in any direction that she did not wish to pursue.  She loved the Lord and served Him in her life and took great comfort in the Lord’s Prayer. Her legacy of love, beauty of heart and spirit and tenacity will continue to nourish all who knew her.

Survivors include daughter Carol (Tom), sons Alan, and Thomas (Melanie) daughter in law Ruth: grandchildren Valerie, Holly, Nathan, Robert, and Alex, two great grandchildren James and Bradley and a loved sister in law Dorothy, as well as many dearly loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, and her son Edward.

Funeral service will be held at Yurs Funeral Home of St Charles, 405 East Main Street, St Charles, IL on Monday March 10, from 11am to 1pm with the Reverend Ray Krueger officiating. Internment will be private at North Cemetery immediately following the service.

Donations in Patricia’s memory may be made to St Mark’s Lutheran Church, 101 S 6th Ave, St Charles, IL 60174.
