Diane and Jim married on November 21, 1959 at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in St. Paul, Minn.

They raised their family in St. Paul, Minn., Wheaton, Ill. and St. Charles, Ill. where they enjoyed the friendship of many over the years. They also enjoyed a decade living in London where they launched many an adventure together.

She is survived by her spouse Jim, her sister Laura E. Bramble, her children Patrick (Candace Cross) Carney, Peter (Merry) Carney, James “Jimmy” (Danielle) Carney Jr., and Ellen (Joe) Carney Granda. "To Jim and his wonderful family, our deepest sympathies to you at this time. Diane was a real lady with a smile, her own interests in quilting that amazed us, and a loving person to Jim and all of hers."
