Patricia (Patty) Kay Heredia passed away Thursday, March 26th 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old, loved and cherished by her husband and daughter.

Patricia was the daughter of Robert and Evelyn Johnston. They welcomed her into the world on September 1st, 1953, in Joliet IL. She grew up in Phalen Acres, where she was proud to be one of five siblings. She worked hard to support her big family and was looked up to by her three brothers and one sister. Patricia later went on to graduate from Lockport West High School, then moving forward and away from her hometown to pursue her passion: costume design.

On January 9th, 1986, Patricia married Bernabe Heredia in Hollywood Florida. They had their first child Alberto, March 31st, 1987 (Died Dec. 3rd 1997). They moved to Saint Charles, IL in 1989 where they would have a daughter, Patricia (Little Patti) on May 6th 1995. They raised their family in a small ranch home there. Patricia was a long time member at Redeemer Fellowship Church, where she was loved deeply by her community. She also belonged to a cancer support group of women called “The Care Bears”.

Patricia was always full of love and kindness to anyone that knew her, always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved to have family game nights with her husband, daughter, and son in law to be, Danny. She was a brilliant seamstress, and LOVED to cook. The kitchen was her castle and she was the queen. Ultimately, she loved and lived for God. Her Faith spoke volumes to anyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband Bernabe, daughter Patti (Danny), sister Brenda, brothers Bob (Sue), Andy (Gina), Tim, and dear nieces and nephews who she adored and loved as her own.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert, mother Evelyn, son Alberto, and best friend Becky.

Private Services will be held at Yurs Funeral Home in Saint Charles, IL. Pastor Joe Thorn of Redeemer Fellowship will be officiating, with the eulogy given by Patti Heredia. Visitation will be private, as will the interment.  A public Funeral Service will be held at Redeemer Fellowship for our dear Patty will be at a later date. Contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society in Patricia’s memory.

"Patty was a wonderful person, she was more than a co-worker she was my friend. We would discuss our faith and family at work. She was a hard worker and could be depended on in our team. She will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Patty you are loved and missed."

"Dear mom, From the moment Patti introduce you to us at Trinity. You treated us like family. I will always love you for that. College is a stressful time in a young persons life, and even though we weren’t yours you cared for us like we were yours. You are and will forever be our family. To my sister Patti, I love you forever and always. Know you can come to me at any time of the day my love. Dad, love you and I am praying for you through this hard time. It’s going to be difficult, because you two were always together. 💜💜💜 You guys mean so much for to me and my prayers and deepest condolences are with you."
