Paul was employed as a salesman for Elkhart Rubber Works and Aero Rubber Company in Tinley Park, Illinois.

During his long life, Paul was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus in Elkhart, served as Cub Scout Pack Leader in Elkhart for many years and enjoyed volunteering for the Concord High School Athletics Boosters. He also was very involved with activities and clubs at the Cinnamon Cove retirement community in Ft. Myers, Florida.  Paul was quite a skilled carpenter and electrician.  Besides his projects around the house, he built a vacation home in northern Michigan which the family enjoyed for many years.  He was also very proud of his military service in the World War II era, highlighted by an Honor Flight to Washington, D. C. in 2017.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Geneva Community Chest at www.genevacommnitychest.org or Honor Flight Chicago at  www.honorflightchicago.org.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in Elkhart, Indiana.

"Paul was my neighbor for many years. He loved to tell his stories which I enjoyed hearing. In fact, his Veteran's Honor Flight experience was what motivated me to take the 1st all Women's Honor Flight in 2022. Paul was right, it was an absolutely fantastic experience!I know he was very uncomfortable the last few years. At least the pain is now gone.Rest in peace, Paul."
