Philip Edward Scull age 79 of Wayne, Illinois passed away on June 26, 2020.  He was born to Edward and Sylvia “Mae” Scull in Chicago, Illinois.  Philip attended Wheaton Christian Grammar School, Wheaton Academy and Wheaton College.  He met his wife Sharon Lynn Weissing at a local high school youth group and they married after college graduation.  Philip was in ROTC at Wheaton College and served as Second Lieutenant in Korea for the first year of their marriage.  Upon returning Philip opened an employment agency in Elmhurst, Illinois and then went on to form the Yorke Printe Shoppe of Lombard, Illinois where he served as president until his retirement in 2014. Philip was a founding and active member of Riverside Community Church for over fifty years. He was a member of the Wayne-DuPage Hunt for many years and enjoyed all aspects of country life.  He served on the board of Fort Wilderness in the Northwoods of Wisconsin where he enjoyed many hours waterskiing on the lake in Hazelhurst as a teenager and as an adult on Buffalo Lake in Woodruff.

Philip is survived by his daughter Heather (Robbie) Howland, son Bradley (Monica) Scull, seven grandchildren, and his sister, Joan (Kent) Cooper.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon, his parents, and his sister, Virginia (Stan) Smith.

Burial will be private.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Phil’s memory to The Alzheimer’s Association or Riverside Community Church.
