Obituary

Rae L. Ward, 76, of West Dundee, passed away on December 18^th.

Rae was born in Olmsted, Minnesota to Charles W. Latchem and Eliza H. Harrington. She met her husband to be (Larry) at Simpson College. After getting married in October 1963, they lived in Iowa before moving to St. Charles, and later West Dundee.

She was an elementary school secretary for many, many years before retiring and helping run a Karmelkorn franchise with her husband Larry.

Rae is survived by two sons, Tim (Shelly) and Trevor (Carrie), three grandchildren, Kyle, Tanner, and Julianne, three sisters, Jo Deaton, Jane Latchem, and Jill Knack, and five nieces and nephews.

Rae is preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Larry.

Her pleasant sense of humor, concern for the well-being of others, and occasional stubborn streaks will always be remembered

Visitation will be on December 30^th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles.

Memorials may be given, in lieu of flowers, to the American Heart Association.
