Robert O. Beavan, age 92, died peacefully Monday, October 18, 2021 at Arden Courts in Geneva with his daughters by his side.
He was born August 11, 1929 in Chicago, Il. The son of the late Robert and Carla Beavan.
On June 10, 1950, Bob and Marianne Laninga were united in marriage.
In 1958 Bob and Marianne moved to St. Charles where they raised their family, David (Anne Mosher), Karen (Bruce) Melin, Nancy, Peter (former wife, Jodi Stovall), and Laura (Tony) Milhousen. Also, his grandchildren: Will (Courtney), Max Beavan; Scott (Casey), Brett (Caitlyn), Adam (Rachael), Drew Melin; Christina, Eric & Jessika Sands; Abby (Brian Weaver) & Caroline Beavan and Erin Milhousen.
Great Grandchildren: Asher Beavan; Cooper & Daisy Melin; Aidan & Cameron Melin; & Raye Collins-Melin.
Bob enjoyed a 43 year career at the Harris Trust & Savings Bank; He was treasurer for the Congregational Church of St. Charles, and active Exchange Club Members, and Alderman, served on the Scholls School Board, Elderday, AARP Tax Aide for the elderly.
He had a big personality that charmed all who met him. He enjoyed fishing, backyard flag football, tickle monster, cards, charades, dancing, and family time. Robert was loved by family and friends wherever he went. He will be missed but always looking down on us with much love.
He was greatly loved by his five children, twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Marianne; daughter, Nancy and his two brothers, Ralph & Russell
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

"Robert was a very sweet man with a big heart & even bigger personality. I enjoyed our visits and haven't seen him in awhile. We did alot of puzzles and games - we played yahtzee and he would toss the dice like he was in vegas. We'd talked & laugh next thing you know our visit would be over.
