Obituaries

Ruth Evelyn Anderson, daughter of Simon P. and Nellie (Large) Bryan, was born at home in Toulon, Illinois on January 4th, 1932. She graduated valedictorian from Wethersfield High School in Kewanee, Illinois and earned her college degree from Marycrest College.

Ruth worked at John Deere in Moline, Illinois and Horicon, Wisconsin until she retired in 1997. After her retirement, Ruth remained active, working in the Executive Master’s Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management where she stayed until the age of 78.

Ruth enjoyed traveling with friends and family and was extremely proud of her career and the places she was able to call home during her life. Ruth loved her two daughters very much and they were immensely proud of the accomplishments their mother had achieved during her lifetime.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Marlin) Underwood of Elgin, Illinois and Jean Thomas of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

There will be a memorial service on Saturday, July 27th at 11:00 am at Yurs Funeral Home at 405 East Main St., St. Charles, Illinois.
