Obituary
Ruth G. Wander joined the the Kingdom of our Lord on July 20, 2018. She was surrounded by all four of her children as she passed.
Ruth was a beloved and devoted wife to Leonard, who preceded her in death in 2010. She was the most wonderful mother to Barbara (Jim) Southwick, Paul (Patricia) Wander, Susan (Donald) Schmidt, and Lori (Tim) Walker. She dearly loved all six of her grandchildren: Tracy (Eric) Bjorling, Brett and Alec Schmidt, Sarah (Pat) Neihengen, Katelyn (Blake) Taylor, and Michelle Wander. Five great-grandchildren blessed her full life: Gwendolyn and Rory Bjorling, Liam and Ainsley Neihengen and Sean Taylor.
Ruth was an active community volunteer in both Arlington Heights and St. Charles and a member of both First Presbyterian Church in Arlington Heights and the Fox Valley Presbyterian Church in Geneva, Illinois.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 23 from 4 to 8 with a short prayer service at 7. Burial will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Joliet, Illinois. A memorial service is scheduled for 10 am Tuesday July 31st at Greenfields of Geneva in Friendship Hall.
