Obituaries

Sally Louise Roy, age 91, of St. Charles and South Elgin passed away on July 1, 2025, at the Pearl of St. Charles.

She was born April 8, 1934 in Elgin, Illinois.

She loved basketball and was a big Chicago Bulls fan.

She liked to spend time with her family and liked traveling

In 1999 she went to Alaska, her dream trip.

And to Switzerland to see where her parents were born in 2000.

Crochet and ceramics were her hobbies.

She loved her animals.

She is survived by Suzanne Ward of Batavia, Darrell (Karen) Geske Jr. of Pearl City, Robert Geske of Sycamore, John (Thelma) Geske of Stewart, Howard (Sharon) Geske of Rock Falls, Marianne (Dave) Synder of Wayne, Charles Geske of Dekalb, sixteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Roy, her mother, Martha (Edward) Tobler, her father, Hans Bruderer, a brother, John Bruderer

Visitation will be on Monday, July 7 from 10:00 – 12:00 P.M. with funeral at 12:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles, 405 E Main Street. Burial to immediately follow at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paws of Chicago.
