Sam DiGioia was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. He left this world on May 9th, 2023 at age 87.
He was greatly loved and admired by all who knew him. Sam was born into this world on December 15th, 1935 in Bari, Italy. On October 29th, 1955 he married the love of his life Phyllis DiGioia with whom he spent 66 years with.
His is survived by his wife (Phyllis), daughter (Anna Marie), sons (Vincent and Ernest), six grandchildren (Danielle, Michael, Kristen, Nicholas, Marisa, and Kendall), and three great-grandchildren (Michael, Aubrey, and Sophia).
Sam was preceded in death by his sisters, Mamine DiGioia, and Lucia Ladisa.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M., on Sunday, May 21st, 2023 followed by a Funeral Service from 3:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home of St. Charles, 405 East Main Street (Corner of Rt. 64 and Rt. 25).
