Stephen J. Quartuccio, age 46, long time resident of Batavia passed away on March 27, 2018. Son of the late Joseph and Patricia Quartuccio, he was born December 22, 1971 in St. Charles, Illinois. Steve was a graduate of Northern Illinois University. He was married to Amy (Scott) Quartuccio in 2001. Steve was a loving and devoted father always putting family first.   Loyal and hardworking, he was a great friend to many. Steve would light up the room with his “goofy” witty personality. Known as the Old Philosopher, Steve always made time for everyone.

He is survived by his wife Amy, children Joseph and Samantha of Batavia, his brothers and sisters, Natalie (Bradley) Stanfield of Bloomingdale, Michael of St. Charles, Dianne (Jasper) Lim of Wheaton, Laura (Gilbert) Grant of Copenhagen Denmark, Brian of St., Charles, Theresa (Matthew) Deutsch of Elgin, Erin (Robert) McDonald of Oswego, Paul (Emily) of St. Charles and Matthew (Meghan Surta) of South Elgin. Steve will also be forever remembered by his many nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends.

Steve was preceded in death by parents Joseph and Patricia Quartuccio.

Funeral mass will be held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, April 4th at St. Patrick Catholic, 408 Cedar Street, St. Charles.  Burial will be at West Batavia Cemetery, Batavia.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 3-8:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, (Rt. 64 and Rt. 25), St. Charles.  In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the family.
