Steven R. Shambora age 48 of St. Charles, Illinois passed away tragically August 10, 2019. He was born to Robert and Sue Shambora in Elmhurst, Illinois on July 2, 1971. He graduated from The Ohio State University. He spent many years in the financial industry, until his heart was drawn to service in Haiti. From his experiences he created Prosper America a non-profit global ministry teaching financial literacy. During that time Steve was employed by Moody Bible Institute in the Stewardship Department as the Director of Planned Giving. He loved his family dearly and was a devoted husband and father.
He is survived by his loving wife Michelle, son Franklin Shambora, daughter Mary Shambora, parents Robert and Sue Shambora, brother Robert (Wendy) Shambora, his niece Alexandrea, and many family members through his wife Michelle.
Visitation will be 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 16, 2019 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1244 W. Army Trail Road, Carol Stream, IL 60188. Burial is private. Contributions may be made to Prosper America at ProsperAmerica.org.
