After a three year battle with cancer Thomas James Melone passed on June 2, 2019. He was born in Oak Park Illinois on June 14, 1948. He was preceded in death by his parents James and Margaret Melone of Chicago.

Tom was a Marine Corp Veteran and was honorably discharged from the service. He was employed by the phone company and retired from Lucent Technologies.

He was a seasonal hunter, fisherman and backyard gardener. Tom had a personality that everyone loved layed back and humorous.

Tom is survived by his wife, Teresa, children; Liz (Gene) Kravcik, Tina Coker, Eugene (Helen) Melone, Sara (Albert) Lukas, sisters; June Swetz, Jenneth (Ralph) Mongolier, Angela (Ken) Meadows, four grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He also had an extended family in Illinois Michigan, Indiana and Ohio. He will be missed in our lives and his memory will continue far into time- Love you Tom.

A Memorial Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Yurs Funeral Home 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles, Illinois 60174. A Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 3:30 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Tom’s memory to Northwestern Medicine at Delnor Cancer Center.
