Thomas “Tom” Pahl age 72, of Aurora, passed away July 10, 2019. He was born to Henry and Delores Pahl in Chicago, IL.
Tom loved anything with an engine, especially motorcycles and cars. He traveled the U.S. many times over on his bikes. He worked in the generator industry for over 40 years and was able to retire at 62. Tom was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects or give sage advice to anyone who asked. Tom was known for his quick wit, wealth of knowledge and a loving heart. He loved nothing more than to spend time with his family and friends; whether it was over a good meal or a tasty cocktail. Everyone knew that Tom was a perfectionist in everything he did. Including being the best husband, brother, father, papa, and friend he could be. Tom participated in many charity rides for Toys for Tots. He was a friend to everyone and was loved by many.
He is survived by his loving wife Gloria, daughters; Lisa (Scott) Weigand, Tracy (Perry Karlos) Pahl, sons; Brian Jennings, Eric (Mandi) Jennings, daughter, Jaclyn Pahl, grandchildren; Erica and Alyssa Gleason, Tyler and Alex Weigand, Thomas, Elizabeth and Beau Jennings, sister, Kathy (Mike) Miosi, brothers; Steven (Carol) Pahl, Gary (Sharon) Pahl, sister, Doreen Herbert, brothers; Philip (Donna) Pahl, John (Lisa) Pahl, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

"Lyrics Took a look down a westbound road right away I made my choice Headed out to my big two wheeler I was tired of my own voice Took a bead on the northern plains and just rolled that power onTwelve hours out of Machinaw City stopped in a bar to have a brew Met a girl and we had a few drinks and I told her what I'd decided to do She looked out the window a long long moment then she looked into my eyes She didn't have to say a thing I knew what she was thinkin'Roll roll me away won't you roll me away tonight I too am lost I feel double crossed and I'm sick of what's wrong and what's right We never even said a word we just walked out and got on that bike And we rolled And we rolled clean out of sightWe rolled across the high plains Deep into the mountains Felt so good to me Finally feelin' free Somewhere along a high road The air began to turn cold She said she missed her home I headed on aloneStood alone on a mountain top starin' out at the Great Divide I could go east I could go west it was all up to me to decide Just then I saw a young hawk flyin' and my soul began to rise And pretty soon My heart was singin'Roll roll away I'm gonna roll me away tonight Gotta keep rollin' gotta keep ridin' keep searchin' till I find what's right And as the sunset faded I spoke to the faintest first starlight And I said next time Next time We'll get it right Songwriters: BOB SEGERroll on tom...god bless dennis"
