Victoria Dador-Souza age 78, transitioned to eternity on November 2, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Segundo and Primitiva Dador as well as her brothers Solomon (Rose), Emmanuel (Imelda) and Mario Dador. Victoria is survived by her son David (Lora nee Silvestri), grandchildren Clara and Francesca Souza, and daughter Cheri (Nathan Drake) and grandchildren Camden, Charli and Cecily Drake, in additional to her sisters Aida Dador and Shirley Dador (Max Tan) and brothers Segundo Jr (Delilah) Dador and Norman (Tessie) Ruiz, the father of her children Noel Souza as well as many cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Victoria was born in the Zambales Province of the Philippines, graduated from University of Santo Thomas and excelled as Nursing Student, even becoming a member of the University of Santo Thomas Nursing Association of America. She eventually earned her Masters of Business Administration through Lewis University. Her storied career has taken her throughout Asia, and when finally emigrated to the United States in the early 70s, rose from being a Registered Nurse, to Head Nurse, to Director of Nursing and eventually retiring in her final role as Head of Total Quality Improvement for Joint Commission for two different hospitals.
When not working, Vicki (as she was commonly known) spend much of her time praying as she was extremely dedicated to the Catholic Faith, demonstrating her devotion day after day. She was most often found at some of her favorite churches, praying multiple rosaries a day or deep in meditation and prayer. She found a peace in prayer and especially in some of the ministries of which she contributed and participated. Vicki was also known for her boisterous personality, and quite liked by all she met. She was also famous for her lumpia shanghai (egg roll) recipe that resulted in empty trays at parties where they were served. She was a woman of resolve and extreme generosity and enjoyed sharing her thoughts and wisdom with those who were willing to listen. She was a woman of great passion, and of even greater compassion.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be 9:15am – 11:00am Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at St. John Neumann, 2900 E. Main St, St. Charles, IL. with a Catholic Mass immediately following. A graveside service will be held at her final resting place, Assumption Cemetery, 1S510 Winfield Rd, Wheaton, IL 60189 immediately following mass where she will rest beside her parents.
