"Peewee, you were the lil brother I never wanted!40 years you have been in my life, and were always there through thick and thin I knew you had my back and were just a phone call away.We shared a lot of laughs and also a lot of pain though the years and I wouldn’t trade any of it.I have you seen you struggle these last few years, beat cancer, go from being bedridden to walking in a few months time.Your perseverance and courage always amazed me and inspired me as well when I was dealing with my own issues that you helped me refocus on what is important. My life will never be the same without your goofy ass in it! You have given a lifetime of wonderful memories to cherish. My heart and soul ache, but I also can’t help but smile when I think about the most skinny awkward kid I meet a lifetime ago who was always smiling and made me laugh and always more than willing to get me in trouble!Rest well Lil brother and try to stay out of trouble until we meet again...Love/B"

Gail and Jack Hinterlong from Batavia, IL

"Dear Norma and Jerry, A very sad day...We planned to come to the visitation and funeral but after I went to my Dr. for a check up the Dr. suggested NOT to join in the funeral. Said it is risky and especially since the coronavirus has ramped way up. So, we think of you and hate that we couldn't come to share our condolences. We will be thinking of you and share in your sad day. You have many great times to continue to think of Scott and the good times. Scott was sooo lucky to get the parents you were to him. I know that he knew that. We will continue to pray for you and when this pandemic is gone and safe, we will get together with you and the Alewels for a dinner date. But til then, we will continue to think of you and pray for you. God Bless you had Scott for 51 years and continue to think of those good times that you had together. Love you both.. Jack and Gail Hinterlong"
