Virginia Dale Fulton, 80, died Friday, July 26, 2024 in Elgin, Illinois, surrounded by family. She
was greatly loved by her family and friends.

The daughter of Nellie and Geoffrey Outland, Virginia was born on January 17, 1944 in Hazel,
Kentucky. In 1964 she married Howard Fulton at the Sunnyland Baptist Church in East Peoria,
Illinois. In 1967 they moved to the Fox Valley area and raised their children in Aurora and
Batavia. They were active members of the Batavia Covenant Church for many years. She earned
certificates in accounting and worked as a part-time accounting clerk. In 2015 she moved to Elgin
and worshiped at Westminster Presbyterian Church.

Virginia was a wonderful woman of strong Christian faith and wisdom, who always sought to help
others. She spread joy through her creativity with baking, knitting, quilting, and wood carving. She
loved her family and animals too, and enjoyed caring for her cats. She leaves a legacy of
selflessness to all who knew her.

Survivors include her son Steven Fulton and his wife Lai Ching, daughter Sandra Andress and her
husband Mike, and three grandchildren: Sandra’s daughter Melody Johnson and husband Eric,
Sandra’s son Charles Walker, and Steve and Lai’s son Nathan Fulton.

She was predeceased by her father Geoffrey Outland who gave his life for his country during
WWII, mother Nellie Geneva Futrell, husband Howard Fulton, and half-brother Ronnie Futrell.
Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am on Tuesday August 6 at Yurs Funeral Home at
405 E. Main St. in St. Charles, IL. This will be followed by a memorial service at 11am at the
same location, officiated by Rev. Robin Cho.
