Virginia S. Collins was born January 4, 1929 in Dubuque, Iowa and died on April 24, 2018 at the Sunrise Senior Living Center in Chesterfield MO.
Virginia graduated from Visitation High School in Dubuque, Iowa and Rosary College in River Forest Illinois.
Virginia was married to William J. Collins) from 1952-2010 when he passed away.
Virginia is survived by brother Dr. Thomas A. Schroeder residing in Oconomowoc Wisconsin
and her only son Michael J. Collins, married to Elaine Collins, residing in Wildwood, MO.
She has five grandchildren:
Christopher (San Jose, CA), and his wife Gretchen. Their 3 children (great-grandchildren to Virginia) are Madden, Dylan and Brannon
Keith Collins (SanFrancisco, CA)
. Michael D. Collins (Ballwin, MO)
Cassandra (attending college in Boston, MA)
Virginia worked for Northwestern Railroad in Chicago, IL.
Virginia lived with her husband Bill in OakPark/River Forest, IL 1959-1985; then in St. Charles, IL 1986-2012; finally in Chesterfield MO 2012-2018.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 3 to 5:00 P.M. at Yurs Funeral Home St. Charles.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M. Monday at St. John Neumann Catholic church 2900 E. Main Street (Rte 64) St. Charles. Burial will be at Union Cemetery St. Charles.
