Wanda Darlene Leindecker nee Wise, peacefully entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2024, in St. Charles, IL, at the age of 61.
Wanda was born in Ohio on January 7, 1963, to Ruby and Michael Wise. As a young girl, she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she completed her education and graduated high school. Wanda was known for her simple yet profound love for others, and her life was a testament to the power of kindness, loyalty, and dedication. In 1983, she married the love of her life, Paul Stephen Leindecker, and together, they built a beautiful life filled with love and family.
Wanda was a lifelong devotee to her family, embracing her roles as wife, mother, and grandmother with unwavering commitment and love. She took joy in the little things and found great satisfaction in nurturing and caring for her loved ones. Her gentle spirit, compassionate heart, and selflessness were known to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Wanda was a dedicated Food Network enthusiast, where she always jotted down recipes to make for her family. She was well known for her cooking by all her loved ones. She also enjoyed receiving her pick three every week.
Wanda is preceded in death by her mother, Ruby Brown, who she is now reunited with in peace. She leaves behind her devoted husband, Paul Stephen Leindecker, and her three children, Crystal (Brandon) Barclay, Kenneth (Megan) Leindecker, and Teri (Calvin) Weekes. Wanda’s legacy lives on through her 10 cherished grandchildren, Floyd, Evelyn, Aiden, Lydia, Paige, Caine, Amias, Amari, Millie, and Lincoln, who will forever remember her warmth and grace.
May her memory be a constant reminder of love and kindness, and may we always carry her spirit with us in our hearts.
A celebration of life for Wanda will take place Sunday, October 20 at Yurs Funeral Home in St. Charles at 405 East Main St, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon, with a service to immediately follow.
